Call Recording Laws
Different jurisdictions have different laws regarding recording phone calls (e.g., "One-Party Consent" vs "Two-Party Consent"). To ensure compliance:
- By default, Lisa plays a brief notification at the start of a call stating that the call is being recorded and processed by AI.
- Continuing the conversation after this disclosure serves as implied consent in most jurisdictions.
- If a caller objects, they can ask to be routed to a human or hang up.
SMS Opt-In & Consent
We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA guidelines. AI-driven text messages are generated only for:
- Transactional updates: Confirming an appointment that a user requested.
- Conversational continuity: Replying to a text message initiated by the lead.
We do not use our AI SMS engine to send unsolicited bulk marketing messages (spam).
Opting Out (STOP)
We make it incredibly easy for users to withdraw their consent for SMS communications.
If a recipient replies with STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, or QUIT, our system immediately and automatically blocks all future outbound messages to that number.
Voice Data Privacy
Processing human speech is core to our AI. However, we have strict boundaries on how voice data is used:
- No Biometric Profiling: We do not store "voiceprints" or use voice data to uniquely identify or track individuals across different systems.
- No Cloning: We do not use caller audio to synthesize or clone real individuals' voices.
- Audio streams are processed in real-time for transcription (Speech-to-Text) and then temporarily stored as standard audio files for QA purposes before deletion.
Customer Responsibilities
While Lisa provides the compliance tools (disclosures, STOP handling), the businesses using our service (our Customers) are legally the "Senders" and "Callers".
Customers must ensure they have gathered leads legally and have the right to contact them in their respective jurisdictions. Abuse of the system for cold calling without consent will result in immediate account termination.
